Bigfoots can tell if an area has been disturbed. It would be like a musky deer walked through your living room. The smells would set off alarm in your nose that this doesn’t seem right. So try to keep the area free from new soils.
Footprints left behind by a Bigfoot. Now if you find a footprint near a muddy river bank and you want to not disturb the structure. You might want to place a bucket over it to preserve the footprint. If details are on the footprint you want those undisturbed as possible. Anyone can fake a footprint with wood feet or with a previous casting in his or her collections. Bigfoots walking leaving footprints would need to make a wide stride to their height. The wider the stride would result to the Bigfoot would have to be very tall. This is good indicator that this animal is extremely heavy and would be hard to duplicate by a hoaxer. Now harder compact surfaces and soils would still have some displacement but not as much.
The nail in the coffin would be Dermal Ridges left in a footprint. Every person and hominoid who walks upright will have dermal ridges on their hands and feet. No person is the same. Dermal ridges present on footprints found on your property are priceless. It is difficult to cast a footprint and preserve the dermal ridges on the footprint. It can be done with some careful preparation of the area and print.
