People are more dangerous than Bigfoot, and would travel to a sighting location if revealed.

With just the reports of cougar and bear attacks each year, it would seem the forests are not that safe. And, if one took time to think about the subject, a lengthy list of forest dangers could be created in a short time.
And, what if one were to write a book about forest dangers? Just think what could be uncovered in researching the subject. Those among us who are careful of personal safety, might just swear-off forest hiking and all the other activities that are enjoyed in its enchanted realms. What a shame that would be.



One danger that readily comes to mind is the threat from fellow humans. Can you really trust that smiling person ambling toward you? Do you nod? Smile? Then you think, “Is he armed? Does he mean me harm?” Yes, it’s only wise to be cautious when a stranger is approaching, miles from nowhere on a narrow forest trail. We know for a fact that predator humans exist. This fact gives us the right to be cautious. 


Until bigfoot is proclaimed a real-live animal by the scientific community it would be, it seems, wise to treat the animal as if it does exist. For example, if a bigfoot is known to frequent a certain area shouldn’t that area be avoided? Wouldn’t a careful individual do just that, avoid the area? This is solid reasoning so far, right? Dangerous humans, we are well aware of, but what of bigfoot? Many reports straigh-out claim bigfoot to be dangerous. Yet, we forest users have not been officially alerted. Shouldn’t some agency, some person even, feel a responsibility to protect the public? 


Where does one find information on bigfoot sightings and sighting locations? Well, there are plenty of bigfoot web sites on the Internet, but not everyone has a computer. And what’s more, most of these Internet sites do not release sighting locations. It is, however, easy to discern from sighting reports that bigfoot does not often venture onto well-traveled roads or popular campgrounds. Of course, there are always exceptions.


Then, there are those of us that simply want to see a bigfoot, and without hesitation, would travel to a sighting location if revealed. Of course, if the news media would take bigfoot seriously and report sightings and show us photos of bigfoot submitted to them, it just might keep the public a little safer. How? At least the public would know there is a possibility that this animal exists. And, perhaps fewer ill-prepared people would be scouring the dangerous forests for this animal.
