Descendants of Bigfoot? New species of primitive human discovered

New Species of Flat-Faced Primitive Human Discovered

The discovery of what may be a new “flat-faced” human species in Africa has the scientific community buzzing. You can read about the discovery on the LiveScience website here.

While final classification of the species is still to be determined, and, no doubt, will be argued over for years, many scientists are leaning strongly toward labeling the species as Homo.

They managed to avoid the notice of nosy humans beings for thousands of years, mostly by clinging to the roofs of dark caves and keeping their six, tiny eyes peeled for trouble.

But the secret existence of these eight-legged West Coasters has come to an end.

On Friday, scientists announced the discovery of a heretofore unknown family of spider that some have playfully compared to Bigfoot, the privacy-loving man-beast of legend.

Possible Sasquatch Hand Found In Northern B.C. Canada

OMG! This guy named Peter Hrychiw found this hand during a bike trip in Northern B.C. Canada back in July 2012. It was discovered near an unpaved road named LIG T.T. Trans.

Alexa Evans just posted this photo of a Bigfoot head reconstruction that she had created on Facebook (above) and within minutes a reply was sent in by Jefferey Gonzalez: "News!!!!!!!!!!!! This is about the size of the head of Bigfoot that left the impression on my driver side window of my truck. " Which I assume is good independant confirmation of the accuracy of the model

The photo above was purportedly taken near the town of Happy Camp, CA. It's located in the canyons of the Klamath Mountains-- along the Klamath River. It is the home territory of a Native American tribe called the Karuk Ar. Happy Camp is also home to many reported sightings of the "Hairy Man".

New Bigfoot cast from Maine

A Maine Bigfoot hunting group, lead by Mike Merchant, recovered the following 14″ long footcast made by what Merchant feels might have been a Bigfoot. It was cast in a rough, rural area near Burbank, north of Moosehead, Maine, two weeks ago, early in July 2012. Only one print was found due to the terrain not being conductive to other prints. No others were seen; if they would have seen others, tracking would have occurred. The cast broke because Merchant was low on casting materials.

The Minnesota Iceman aka BigFoot/Sasquatch(For Those Of You In The Bigfoot Community, You Should Know All About This). There were reports in 2004 that the Iceman was buried in an undisclosed and unmarked grave in a California forest. The Minnesota Iceman, a purported man-like creature frozen in a block of ice and displayed at fairs and carnivals in Minnesota and Wisconsin in late 1968. Two trained scientists, Ivan Sanderson (who was also a naturalist) and Bernard Heuvelmans (also a researcher and the founder of cryptozoology), examined the “Iceman” and concluded it was a genuine creature, noting “putrefaction where some of the flesh had been exposed from the melted ice.” Heuvelmans wrote a scientific paper about the Iceman and even named it as a new species with neanderthal affinities, Homo pongoides, and theorized it was killed in Vietnam during the war. When the Smithsonian Institution was reportedly interested in the Iceman, Dr. John Napier was asked to investigate. He suggested the FBI investigate due to reports that the creature had been shot and killed. Shortly thereafter, the Iceman disappeared from public display, withdrawn, Hansen said, by the California-based owner. In a 1995 interview, Hansen reported that “I never did find out” if the Iceman was genuine. Near the end of the overnight appearance of Jeff Meldrum’s and John Bindernagel’s discussion of Bigfoot on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory on September 22, 2006 an American, who claimed to be living in the Ukraine, telephoned into the talk-radio program. The credible-sounding individual had an intriguing account. Without disclosing his name, the man identified himself as an environmental scientist. He stated that after the fall of the Soviet Union, he was hired to do air quality studies at the museum in the University in Leningrad (later St. Petersburg). While taking air samples in a three-level basement beneath the museum in 1992, he said he made a startling find. The American scientist stated that he came across an object in a glass case that, according to the label, was an animal that looked like a Bigfoot, taken near a Russian outpost in northern California. The outpost was near Mendocino, and the mounted hominid was collected in the late 1700s, from what he could tell on the museum label. The huge animal had several layers of skin, exhibited a foot 17 inches long, and was a 7’ 1” tall, hair-covered upright Bigfoot-like figure.

“We all want to believe that there are still monsters lurking in the secret corners of the planet, and that’s the allure of Bigfoot,” said Marjorie Kaplan, president of Animal Planet, home to the hit series “Finding Bigfoot.

The series, which attracted 1.6 million viewers for its second season premiere, will launch its third season this summer. “If anybody’s going to find him, it’s going to be us,” Kaplan declared, adding with a laugh, “hopefully after 100 episodes.”

Marjorie: Does that mean if you DON’T find him, he doesn’t exist? No. But it’s a silly thing to say considering the Finding Bigfoot show is a group of self-styled experts in something never shown to exists, dragging a film crew through remote areas like suburban New York. It’s no secret that I’m not a fan of this show that tries to pass off contrived situations as “scientific”. But, I digress to more important parts of the article…

The piece highlights the growing popularity of the big guy, as we noted here on Doubtful News in many pieces. A new crop of documentaries and movies are on the way.

Dr. Brian Regal speaks out on the trend for television programs to discount actual scientists and learned experts in order to hype speculative shows like Finding Bigfoot that contain NO science or carry any value beyond entertainment (and even that is questionable). Here it is the latest "blobsquatch" to hit Youtube. It was uploaded by Youtube user ppjameston11 and the description reads as follows--"I was filming at the swamp area of interest again and found that a horrible stench was in the vicinity. I noticed in the distance a branch move and so I zoomed in on it with the camera. It was not until I reviewed the film that I noticed what was on tape. Also after I did some wood knockings further in the forest area I heard the vocalizations that you can hear on those later sections." Plus a few possible vocalizations???

SALT LAKE CITY - A man spotted dressed in a goat suit among a herd of wild goats in the mountains of northern Utah has wildlife officials worried he could be in danger as hunting season approaches.

Phil Douglass of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources said Friday the person is doing nothing illegal, but he worries the so-called "goat man" is unaware of the dangers.

People buy the weirdest stuff, and this guy is no exception. He bought a lock of hair suspected to belong to the creature Bigfoot, aka Sasquatch, which has been sold by Lufkin resident Ty Shafer, to a museum owner in Austin.

The lock of hair was sold for $225 at the Nacogdoches Auction last Saturday. Other auctions items included a vintage bedroom set, antique dolls and a 1950 Schwinn bicycle, according toGrindTV.com. However, the lock of Bigfoot hair was the item of interest for Steve Busti, owner of the Museum of the Weird in Austin, Texas.

My husband has taken to watching Animal Planet's Finding Bigfoot. It's ridiculous. Despite never having found the remains of a Sasquatch, the droppings of a Sasquatch, or actually – irrefutably – caught one on camera, this dedicated team goes all Blair Witch in the Pacific Northwest with their Sasquatch "calls" and proof that bigfoots "whistle", "can't understand words", and "sleep on hemlock" in the open forest.As this show really only prompts more questions than it answers, we've taken to googling and wiki-ing Sasquatch for random fun facts. Here's the one my husband found:
"'Sasquatch' is a slang term for 'hairy vagina'."

FLIR is by far one of my favorite companies because they make one of the most useful tools one can have in bigfooting: the thermal imager. Thermal imagers see heat and translate it to visible light so we humans can see it. Often, the pricier units translate certain temperatures into various colors, and in the black and white units, the hotter something is, the brighter it is.

James Bobo Faye and Joe Rogan give squatchers over 2 and a half hours of free entertainment. During the course of the podcast, Bobo defends Patterson Gimlin, Justin Smeja and the Melba Ketchum DNA project. Mr. Faye even states that the results of Melba's study identify the Sierra Kills "steak" is a relict hominid.

Doug Jenkins is the spokesperson for the Naches Ranger Station and its district. He’s heard it all when it comes to the elusive, 7-foot-plus bipedal creature that has been long rumored to roam that valley. The following article fromSportsyakima.com mentions some of the reports that the ranger station has received throughout the years, and some of Mr. Jenkins’ personal accounts with Sasquatch.

I’ve always like reading Bigfoot reports that originate from rangers. For the most part, many of them are trained observers and have encountered most, if not all, the wildlife in their domain. When a forest ranger turns in a strange report of having seen a giant ape foraging through some North American forest, you can’t help but listen.

When I first came across Thomas Finley's artwork it automatically beamed in my head that I had to interview him. Then the images of the slideshow appeared and I knew I had to showcase his art for an interview here. So I contacted him and found out he had just listened to one of my shows on Mothman with Andy Colvin, Mothman photographer at The Church of Mabus radio show. How weird and cool is that? He was painting mothman to my show. So it was meant to be obviously and universally inspired. Alot of his art focuses on the mystical Sasquatch but he also does other art like aliens and other paranormalpersonalities.

Vietnamese Bigfoot FLIR camera stills and footprints!

Just as promised, Josh Gates and the Destination Truth team delivered the goods last night when they found some amazing evidence supporting the existence of Bigfoot in Vietnam. The photo above is from the footage from the Vietnam episode showing an unidentified bipedal figure walking through the jungle. After attempting to track down the figure, the team stumbled into a nearby cave where they discovered even more evidence.
